The
first stop on our tour was at the U.N. Building. The flags of
all the nations that make up the UN stand in front of the building.
It is truly an impressive sight.
The dragon slayer in the picture represents the UN and the two
headed Dragon (NOT Judy and Joyce!!) is the U.S. and Russia
joined by an atomic bomb. The statue represents the end of nuclear
weapons development in those countries.

Next,
we visited St. Patrick's Cathedral. It has to be one of
the most beautiful structures I've seen. It is located near
Rockefeller Center. |
